Chicago United FC Parent and Player Guidelines
Players are expected to bring a ball, adequate water, and an attitude to learn and train hard at every training session and match.
Practices are mandatory: players should not expect to play if they miss training or are lacking discipline and an attitude to learn and train hard. Development and a proper training approach will be considered along with player skill and talent when determining playing time in matches. This club is not a recreational club; while each player will always have the opportunity to play, players will not necessarily receive equal playing time. Match decisions are at the discretion of the coach.
Respect and communication is expected from parents and players. If a player will miss, be tardy, or leave early from training or a match, the proper coach will be notified at least an hour prior to training and a day prior to a match. Players are expected to arrive to a match 45 minutes prior and 15 minutes prior to training.
Parents and supporters must at all times stay away from the bench area during matches and stay far enough away during training as to not distract the players or coaches.
Parents are absolutely not to instruct or coach from the sidelines during the match or training. Parents are at the match as supporters and are to enjoy the match. See Sideline Behavior.
