  • College and Professional Career:
A 1999 All-American and Soccer America's Player of the Year that season, Korol scored 57 goals and assisted on 35 others for a career point total of 149, the fourth-most in Indiana history.

During his All-American season in 1999 he scored a career-high 20 goals and posted 10 assists to become the first IU player in a decade to score 50 points, garnering All-Region and Big Ten Player of the Year honors along the way.

At Indiana Korol made three College Cup appearances with the Hoosiers, guiding IU to back-to-back National Championships as a junior and senior.

Korol posted 29 points on 12 goals and five helpers in 17 NCAA postseason matches from 1996 through 1999, good for the most points in NCAA Tournament history.

He was an All-Big Ten selection in each of his four seasons, winning Big Ten Championships every year he was at Indiana.

Drafted by Dallas with the fifth pick in the 2000 MLS SuperDraft, Korol played two seasons for the Burn, playing in 36 matches and scoring seven goals, and appeared in one game for the Chicago Fire before injury hampered his MLS career. He played in the United Soccer League in 2003 and 2004 before moving to the coaching ranks.

  • Entering his eighth year with the UIC soccer program and third season as the team's director of soccer operations, Cain has been on the staff since 2006 after completing an outstanding four-year playing career at UIC in 2005. He served as the Flames' undergraduate assistant coach for the 2006 NCAA Tournament squad before taking his current position as director of soccer operations and contributing to UIC's 2007 NCAA Elite Eight and 2008 NCAA Sweet 16 runs
  • Cain started 37 games between the posts for the Flames, finishing his career with a record of 19-13-2 to go with 194 saves and a career goals-against average of 1.64. He earned Horizon League All-Newcomer Team honors after starting 18 games in goal as a rookie in 2002, tying a UIC single-season record with six clean sheets
  • In 2003 the Rochester, MN, native ranked first in the Horizon League in saves with 97 stops, also topping the conference rankings in save percentage (.815) while averaging nearly six saves a match. Cain's 97 saves also ranked 14th in NCAA Division 1 men's soccer

Sergi Daniv

  • Daniv was an All-American for Wake Forest University in 1995, 1996 and 1998 before pursuing a professional soccer career with a pair of MLS sides, the Dallas Burn and the Chicago Fire, from 1999-2004
  • He appeared in 45 matches for the Burn and the Fire from 1999 until 2004, making 37 starts along the way. Daniv helped the Burn advance to the 1999 MLS Western Conference Finals, a year in which he was a candidate for league Rookie of the Year honors, and had a 2001 campaign for the Fire in which he posted seven points in 14 matches
  • Daniv graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in analytical finance from Wake Forest and has a UEFA - A Coaching Diploma from the Football Federation of Ukraine

  • 2008: First season as captain...started all 22 matches...scored five goals...tied for team lead with six assists...accumulated 16 points, the second-most on the squad...named to Soccer America Team of the Week on Sept. 9 after scoring a pair of goals and posting an assist in wins over UAB and Alabama A&M...scored the decisive goal in the 84th minute at UAB on Sept. 5...had both a goal and an assist in a game on three occasions...assisted on Matt Spiess' goal in the Flames' NCAA Sweet 16 match against No. 13 North Carolina on Nov. 30
  • 2007: All-Horizon League Newcomer Team member...scored four goals and assisted on four others for 11 points...one of four UIC players to reach double figures in points this season...assisted on Mike Giffin's goal against UMass in the NCAA quarterfinals on Dec. 9...tallied an assist on the game-winning goal versus Northwestern in the second round of the NCAA Tournament...missed four matches due to injury...scored his first two collegiate goals in the Flames' win at Florida International on Sept. 21...netted the golden goal in the first overtime period in a 1-0 triumph over Bradley on Sept. 29...totaled three points with a goal and an assist versus Wright State on Oct. 14
  • Coach Charlie trained in the Nottingham Forest and Leed's United youth systems. Charlie has a UEFA - C diploma from England and is certified in SAQ training

He totaled five goals and three assists during his tenure with the Flames and was a part of three NCAA Tournament runs, including UIC's memorable Elite Eight journey in 2007, in addition to two Horizon League regular season champions and the 2007 Horizon League tournament champions
