Chicago United is saddened by the news of the departure of Coach Aleksey Korol. Aleksey has been an important part of CUFC’s program since its start. Trained at Dynamo Kiev in the Ukraine, NCAA D-I champion at Indiana University, professional in MLS with Dallas Burn and Chicago Fire, Aleksey most recently made his mark as assistant coach for UIC Men’s Soccer. Aleksey’s reputation and current level of success has led to his recruitment to Indiana University as second in command as assistant coach at his alma mater. Indiana University is considered one of the power houses in college men’s soccer and Coach Aleksey is being asked to help regain IU’s previous level of success.
During the past 3 years, Coach Aleksey’s contributions to Chicago United have been important in the development and success of the current U9 players. He has been integral in the training curriculum and philosophies fostered by UIC and CUFC coaches. CUFC considers him not only to be a talented coach but an incredible person who will always be part of the CUFC family.
From CUFC, best of luck and congratulations to Aleksey Korol on his new position.
